I LOVE rooting!!
I pride myself in creating very realistic hair for my babies. It takes me a very long time to complete each head.
- Every hair is rooted strand by strand using #43 needles so that the hole is incredibly tiny.
- Mohair is selected after the baby is painted to ensure that it is th right tone for the skin.
- Hair growth patterns are very complex and I design each one to enhance the shape of the individual head. Not only does is each hair rooted to create a realistic spiral at the crown, but the directions for the whole head imitate nature. The photos below show the different angels of each head to show you the total effect.

This is the smallest head I have ever rooted - Peanut by Pat Moulton. This was a gift for my red haired neice.

Not just heads!
I root both closed and open eyed eyelashes. Whilst this is fairly normal on sleeping babies, it is unusual to see awake babies with rooted lashes - I like the wispy effect that it gives. The lashes are set to curl in a natural way.
